In the game of Big Brother, The Voting Results (# to # vote that Julie Chen reads off) are very important for players remaining in the game.

A lot of live-feeders don't understand the importance of the voting results that Julie Chen reads off.

How important are they?
1. They can reveal or hide possible alliances
2. They can put doubt on some people depending how the vote goes.
3. It can cause utter chaos in the house if people try to find out who voted for who if it's not a unanimous vote

Today, Howard was talking to McCrae about making sure the vote was 8-3 instead of 7-4. Nick was going to leave regardless, but Howard wanted to avoid a 7-4 vote because that would have put either him or Spencer in doubt in the eyes of the other houseguests.

There are 3 guaranteed votes in the house for Nick to stay: Jeremy, Kaitlin, and GinaMarie. That's pretty obvious from what's been going on in the house, you don't need live feeds to figure that out. But if a 4th vote is placed for Nick to stay, people in the house will want to sniff this rat out, and that puts doubt on people like Spencer and Howard who have been acting shady the past few days.

This was the same case in week 1's eviction. Jeremy voted to evict Elissa and people on the live feeds freaked out and thought he went against the Moving Company, but the purpose of Jeremy's vote was to make the vote 7-5, so that Jeremy and Nick wouldn't be put under doubt by Aaryn, GinaMarie, and Kaitlin, who composed the 3 other votes for Elissa to leave.

So remember...it's not a matter of just voting who you want out, you have to manipulate the voting results depending on what result you want to happen further down in the game, and it can have an impact in the relationships you make with other people.
