After Kaitlin pleads her case to backdoor Howard and not Jeremy, Helen and Andy convince Kaitlin they will protect her from the others in the house since she will have no one in this game after Jeremy leaves.
Kaitlin won POV in order to put herself in a position where she could attempt to plead her case to Helen in the HOH room. This resulted in her getting a better position for herself in the game further down the road. If she didn't win POV, she wouldn't have had this meeting with Helen and would probably be a target in the next few weeks. Kaitlin winning POV is a good game move on her part.
